Welcome to my Life as I Find It blog! I am the handsome and competent James Green, an avid amateur photographer from Iowa City, IA. I've spent a couple years now putting around with a digital camera, taking pictures of anything and everything that captures my eye. Occasionally I am met with a circumstance where I see something compelling, like a couple walking along holding hands, or an intriguing street performer, and I want to take a picture of them either so they can have a nice quality picture for their own use, or to share a story with the rest of the world. I can only do so much with a flickr page, and offering to put pictures of someone on facebook for them is kind of a weird way to go about it since you have to find and befriend them, then tag them, and facebook doesn't save in great quality anyway. And thus is born the Life as I Find It blog.
The Goal is to be able to offer someone a business card containing the prospective URL of my article about them, then to talk to them and to take pictures so I can tell a little of their story. This gives them something to show friends and some [hopefully] decent quality photos to print or use on facebook or do whatever with. All for free. Hopefully it will be successful enough and garner enough traffic that the little ads Google puts on the pages will make me a little scratch and make it more sustainable for me. Then, everyone wins!
